This policy explains what information Drainiacs ("we", "us") collects when you use our website drainiacs.co.uk, call our phone line, or interact with our posts on social media, and what we do with it. We keep it plain because your privacy shouldn't need a lawyer to understand.
Who we are
Drainiacs is a drainage call-out service covering the TW postcode area around Twickenham, Greater London. You can reach us on 07700 137648or by email at hello@drainiacs.co.uk.
What we collect
- When you call us: your phone number and the details of your drainage enquiry. Our phone line is a tracked number, so the time, duration and originating number of your call are recorded so we can return your call and manage the job.
- When you use our enquiry form: the name, phone number, postcode and message you type in. We use these only to reply to your enquiry.
- When you visit the website: standard analytics data (pages viewed, approximate location, device type, and whether you clicked to call) via Google Analytics. This is used to understand how the site is used and improve it. It does not identify you personally.
- When you engage with our social posts: if you like, comment on, or view our posts on Facebook or Instagram, those platforms provide us with aggregate, non-identifying performance figures (such as total reach and number of interactions). We do not receive your name or profile details from this.
How we use it
- To answer your call or enquiry and carry out the work you asked for.
- To understand which of our website pages and social posts are useful, so we can make better ones.
- To meet our legal and accounting obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not add you to marketing lists without your asking us to.
Who we share it with
To carry out a drainage job you request, your contact details and the details of the job are passed to the drainage engineer who attends. We also use trusted service providers who process data on our behalf: Google (website analytics), Netlify (website hosting and enquiry-form delivery), and Meta (Facebook/Instagram, for our own posts and their performance figures). We do not share your data with anyone else except where required by law.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and call records only as long as needed to complete the work and meet our legal obligations, then delete them.
Your rights
You have the right to ask us what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. See ourdata deletion page for how to make a request, or email hello@drainiacs.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this policy
